What it detects

This rule detects registration of a rogue network provider named mslogon in the NetworkProvider ProviderOrder registry key, observed during a stealthy intrusion staged through a third-party compromise. A malicious network provider intercepts credentials at logon time so the attacker can harvest plaintext passwords and sustain long-term covert access.
