What it detects

This rule detects the psql client querying the Veeam Backup database credentials table for stored user names and passwords, the credential-access step in the Akira intrusion used to harvest saved infrastructure secrets. Adversaries read the VeeamBackup credentials table to recover passwords for hypervisors and storage that accelerate domain compromise, so a psql select against this table is a strong secret-theft indicator.
