What it detects

This rule detects the Java broker process spawning a Windows command shell or PowerShell which indicates exploitation of CVE-2023-46604 in Apache ActiveMQ OpenWire. This process chain launched attacker commands directly from the vulnerable service. Shell execution from a Java server process is a strong indicator of remote code execution.
