What it detects

This rule detects writes to the CUPS cups-browsed.conf configuration file which controls the BrowseRemoteProtocols setting that governs whether the daemon accepts remote printer advertisements. Wiz notes that enabling remote browsing widens exposure to the CUPS remote code execution vulnerabilities. This is important because an unexpected change to this file can re-enable the vulnerable network listener or be part of exploitation and persistence on a Linux host.
