What it detects

This rule detects the setenforce 0 command which switches SELinux from enforcing into permissive mode disabling mandatory access controls. Wiz observed attackers disabling SELinux and remounting the filesystem while exploiting the Ivanti CVE-2025-0282 and CVE-2025-0283 zero-days to deploy the SPAWN backdoors. This is important because turning off SELinux enforcement removes a key defense that would otherwise block backdoor installation and is a strong defense evasion signal on a hardened appliance.
