What it detects

This rule detects the Rubeus toolkit being tasked to request Kerberos service tickets or AS-REP responses for offline cracking as demonstrated in the WithSecure Discovery and Lateral Movement lab where a Covenant Grunt executed Rubeus kerberoast and asreproast actions. Kerberoasting and AS-REP roasting let an attacker recover domain credentials without touching a domain controller interactively which makes this a high value credential access precursor to lateral movement.
