What it detects

This rule detects use of the sqlite3 utility to directly read or modify the macOS TCC.db privacy database. It maps to a privilege and privacy control bypass where an attacker inserts or updates access rows to silently grant themselves permissions such as full disk access. Detecting direct TCC.db manipulation surfaces tampering with the macOS consent framework.

Detection content is published as a reviewed draft. Tune thresholds and exclusions against your own telemetry before enabling this rule for alerting.
