What it detects

This rule detects command line activity that retrieves a payload into the user local share directory using the bosshelp filename tied to the APT-36 Kavach trojan. It is associated with APT-36 cyber espionage against India using new Linux malware reported by Uptycs. The malware masquerades as the Kavach authentication tool while staging a follow-on ELF, so downloads referencing this artifact indicate the espionage infection chain.
