What it detects

This rule detects retrieval of a Windows executable from the client scripts directory of a compromised content management system portal, the delivery path used to stage the cms_plugin.exe implant against Pakistani law enforcement. The download masqueraded as a portal update. Serving executables from a CMS client scripts path is anomalous for legitimate web applications.
