What it detects

This rule detects host reconnaissance utilities being spawned as children of the Node.js runtime which post-exploitation of React2Shell CVE-2025-55182 uses to identify the user host and read the password file immediately after gaining code execution. A Next.js application server launching shell reconnaissance is highly anomalous and indicates hands-on-keyboard or automated exploitation.
