What it detects

This rule detects execution of tccutil reset which clears the macOS Transparency Consent and Control privacy permissions. The BlueNoroff GhostCall campaign manipulated the TCC database and reset permissions so its tooling could silently regain access to protected resources like the camera and screen recording. Resetting TCC is rarely done by normal users and is a strong signal of an attacker preparing to re-prompt or bypass privacy protections.

Detection content is published as a reviewed draft. Tune thresholds and exclusions against your own telemetry before enabling this rule for alerting.
