What it detects

This rule flags Windows driver load events when the driver file hash matches a hardcoded list of known malicious hashes (MD5/SHA1/SHA256 and IMPHASH values). Loading a malicious kernel-mode driver can enable persistence and privileged access by running attacker-controlled code in the operating system. The detection relies on telemetry that records the driver load attempt along with the associated file hash values for comparison to the provided indicators.
